Principal fisheries: Smallmouth bass, white perch
Loon Ponds is a relatively large shallow pond with abundant habitat for warmwater fish. Little has change since the initial survey of 1953 and the pond should continue to be managed for its good smallmouth bass and white perch fishing.
Summer water quality precludes the survival of coldwater fish species; therefore, stocking is not recommended.
