Isinglass Pond Description

Isinglass Pond is located west of Rt. 117 in Waterboro. Water quality at Isinglass Pond is well suited for coldwater species such as brook trout, but large numbers of competing species such as perch and suckers preclude intensive trout management. Therefore, the pond is stocked annually with catchable-size brook trout and provides a good seasonal fishery.
There is not a public access site, but walk in access has been traditionally granted across private property along Rt. 117.
