Brimstone Pond Description

Brimstone Pond is a shallow warm ~ater pond. The surface is largely
covered by floating vegetation. Undesirable water quality precludes
intensive management for coldwater fishes; however, an annual stocking
of catchable-size brook trout has provided a satisfactory, short-term
spring fishery.
It is recommended that Brimstone Pond be managed for the warmwater
fish already present and in order to provide a trout fishery in an area that does not have many natural trout waters, it is also recommended that the usual stocking of brook trout continue.
