I just signed up on this fishing forum and thought I would write about some things.
I will be leaving for Maine July 3rd.  The wife and I plan on being up in the Belgrade area that weekend. We will be spending the week at Sunny Shore Camps. We rented a small cabin right on the water. I will be towing the boat up. The boat is a 2003 Sylvan Explorer 1600. It is powered by a Mercury 40-4stroke Tiller contol. I have owned it since new and it has been very reliable.
I have heard there are some big Pike in this body of water. I always liked fishing for Pike and this will be my target fish will I'm there. I have fished Wisconsin and Minnesota for them and always caught some will I was there. Hope to do the same in Maine.
We will be moving on for part two of our vacation after one week in the Belgrade area. We will drive an hour or so to Searsport, Maine. It is located on the coast.
We will be staying at my wife's family home. There I will stage my fishing advertures and drive to some lakes of my choice. I plan on going to Swan Lake. It will be the closest to the house. I think there is a Lake ST. George about 30 min. away on route 3. I know I want to got to these. I plan on staying out of the ocean.
