Historically Spring Pond was noted for a good brook trout fishery. Since the introduction of warmwater species from an unknown source this fishery has nearly disappeared although an occasional trout may immigrate from the outlet stream.
Unfortunately, reclaimation is not an option due to the lack of a barrier downstream. The pond also has ‘boggy’ areas that make complete removal of undesirable species difficult.
Hand carried boats may be launched along Route 105.
