shores of this small, shallow pond are mostly sand and
fine gravel. October fishing for warmwater fish is
permitted at Sandy Bottom Pond, and the abundant pickerel
population should provide good autumn fishing. The pond
is also open to ice fishing.
The presence of suitable habitat for largemouth bass
may warrant the introduction of this species when
sufficient local interest is expressed.
