Androscoggin River / Smallies Galore!

My buddy Mike from Rhode Island just came up and spent the weekend. We did lots of fishing in the Adroscoggin just down the road. We were both amazed at how many smallies we caught! They were everywhere! None were very big. Mostly 1 ld. but the number of smallies we caught/saw was amazing! We covered about a mile of the river, all on foot and went through some really nasty brush and wooded areas. Our legs were all scraped and cut but it was well worth it. We found some great spots that seemed like they are rarely if ever fished as there's no way to get to them by boat because of a series of several dams in this section of the river and there are no footpaths. I can't wait to go again and maybe do more exploring!
