Chickawaukie Pond Description
The directions to the launch site are as follows: Rt. #17 west out of Rockland (Rt. #1). Chickawaukie on right. Launch at public landing. Chickawaukie Pond Johnson Memorial Park Route 17. The only considerable sheet of water is Chickawaukie pond, lying partly in Camden, which, by means of an aqueduct, supplies the city with excellent water. Also in Knox County is Chickawaukie Lake, located in both Rockport and Rockland. Chickawaukie provides ample shore fishing as well as public boat access from the recreation area on the Rockland side of the lake along Route 17. The public beach area is run by the Rockland Recreation Department and is a nice place to take the family for a day out on the lake. Anglers will find brown trout, rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, white and yellow perch in this lake.
