Arnold Pond Description

Arnold Pond is located in the southwest corner of Coburn Gore near the Canadian border. Its main inlet, Massachusetts Bog Stream, enters at the southwest corner of the pond. A number of small springs and tributaries enter from all sides of
Arnold Pond. Its outlet flows east into Mud Pond and eventually into Horseshoe Stream. There is a limited number of camps on the shoreline. Water quality is good for coldwater species, with stratification occurring during the summer months. Arnold Pond is not stocked, due to access
restrictions and the good spawning habitat
available to both salmon and trout.
Arnold Pond .is accessible from Route 27. The pond has special restrictions to protect the wild salmon and trout populations.
